When breastfeeding, don’t make this mistake! 😱❌ ✨Pregnant and new mamas - getting the right latch and position is the KEY to successful breastfeeding. Don’t miss this tip - and make sure you share it round!✨ See how Hadley is positioned with her nose pushing into the breast? It’s not going to last - it may obstruct breathing, which means baby will unlatch and interrupt the feed. Not ideal! So what can you do instead? It’s all about the latch, baby! Once you’ve found a position that’s comfy for you (more on this on my stories), it’s time to latch! There’s a bit of coordination between you and baby to get that technique right as you latch them on. To help, I have a little rhyme that I swear by: 🤱🏿 𝐁𝐮𝐦 𝐢𝐧 🤱🏻 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭-𝐭𝐨-𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭 🤱🏾 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 🤱🏼 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝐥𝐢𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐧𝐢𝐩 Following this little sequence puts baby’s face in the correct position to allow for easy breathing and feeding! Just repeat this one a few times, and you’ll remember it every time you go to latch your little one. Got any latch questions? Let me know below! 👇 Make sure you tag all your new and pregnant mama friends to help them out too 😉
